Sunny and 65 Degrees!

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

Well, this was the Sunday I’ve been waiting for– sunny and 65 degrees!  I worked in the yard, raking and weeding and pruning.  The asparagus patch is ready, the veggie garden is ready (and the onions are planted!) and I replaced the dead rhubarb from last year.  I sprayed Round-Up on the weeds in between the bricks in the patio, and Bob cut down the ornamental grasses so they are ready for new growth.  The only big job not done is cleaning out the pond.

We had a busy weekend, with our Pansy Fling.  We had hot dogs, cake, cookies and coffee while you shopped, and all the new great-looking plants were ready for sale.  Lots of you took advantage of the early-bird special order program for fruit trees, and picked them up (and planted them?)
